Millington Wins Again at Hickory Motor Speedway!
According to a news release from Hickory Motor Speedway, the Cosmo Motors Spring Classic kicked off the track’s 66th season on Saturday.
Twin 50-lap features were run by the NASCAR Whelen All American Series Bojangles Late Models.
Ryan Millington (76) got the holeshot, but Cole Glasson (5) was right behind him in second. For the start, Charlie Watson (9) and Jake Ruggles (29) made up the second row. Millington jumped out to an early lead. According to the release, Glasson and Watson both challenged for the win, but Millington proved to be too powerful and took the POW-MIA Freedom Car to Victory Lane.
Watson came in second, and Glasson came in third. Andrew Garcia (12) came in fourth, while Ruggles came in fifth.

Ryan Millington, a 15-year-old racer from Statesville, North Carolina, is a seasoned competitor. Ryan has already won on both dirt and pavement, competing in a variety of vehicles, thanks to his upbringing in a family with a racing heritage and a passion for the sport.
Ryan and the team spent 2016 focusing on growing their late model program out of their Statesville, North Carolina shop. At Hickory Motor Speedway, they won three times and finished second in points, and they were voted NASCAR’s North Carolina State Rookie of the Year for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in 2016.
